Celebrate the 8th annual Oregon Cider Week with cheese and cider at Portland’s new, quintessential book bar, Rose City Book Pub. 7:30-9:30pm Tuesday, June 25th Cider Riot’s Abram Goldman-Armstrong, Finnriver Cidery’s Jana Daisy-Ensign and Cheese Bar’s Steve Jones will be graciously hosted by Book Pub’s Elise Schumock to bring to life select parings from recently published, ‘Cheese Beer Wine Cider: A Field Guide to 75 Perfect Pairings.’ In the book, authors Steve Jones & Adam Lindsley explore numerous pairings with beer, wine and cider, ultimately concluding that cider was the easiest beverage to pair with cheese. The authors conclude, “Cider’s— even dry cider’s— residual sugars and inherent apple flavor are the perfect foil for salty, nutty, creamy foods like cheese.” Explore winning profiles for yourself at this casual event. A curated cheese board with paired cider flight will be available for $15 (until sold out) along with special, additional draft offerings from Cider Riot and Finnriver.
